Privacy Policy
What we collect when you book or ask a question, who can see it and how long we keep it.
Last updated: 31 October 2026. This policy is subject to further legal review and may be updated.
This policy explains what information Mindful Direction collects through mindfuldirection.pk and during sessions, why we collect it, who can see it and how long we keep it. Mindful Direction is a sole proprietorship based in Pakistan. We offer online, non-clinical guidance in relationship guidance, emotional healing and career growth. You can contact us about privacy at hello@mindfuldirection.pk.
Information we collect
When you book a session
- the session you choose (chat or call)
- your name, email address and WhatsApp number
- how you would like to connect (WhatsApp or Google Meet)
- your preferred date and time, if you give them
- the topic you would like to talk about and any notes, if you give them
- the payment receipt you upload (JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF, up to 5 MB)
- your confirmation that you have paid the fee
The booking form asks you not to include medical or clinical details in your notes.
When you send us a question
Your name, email address, WhatsApp number (optional), the topic you choose and your message.
During your sessions
What you choose to share with your practitioner. Practitioners may keep private session notes. Sessions are not recorded unless everyone involved gives explicit consent. Messages in a WhatsApp chat stay in the chat history on your device and your practitioner’s device until they are deleted. Our Confidentiality Policy explains more.
Technical information
To stop repeated spam submissions, the website keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for about 60 seconds after you send a form. It is not saved with your booking or question. Our hosting provider may also process technical information, such as IP addresses, in server logs to run and protect the website.
How we use your information
- to arrange, confirm and hold your sessions
- to check your payment against the receipt you upload
- to match you with a practitioner suited to the concern you share
- to reply to your questions and send you messages about your booking
- to handle cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
- to keep business records, including records of completed sessions
- to protect the website from spam and misuse
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising, and we do not currently send marketing emails.
Who can see your information
- The business owner manages bookings and can access booking records, questions and receipts for booking, operations, safety and other legitimate business needs.
- Your assigned practitioner receives the relevant booking details through WhatsApp so they can hold your sessions. Practitioners work with Mindful Direction as independent contractors and sign a confidentiality agreement when they join.
- Service providers run parts of the service: Hostinger (website hosting, content delivery network and email server), WhatsApp (Meta), which we use to send booking details to your practitioner and which you can use for sessions, and Google Meet (Google) when you use it for a session. They handle information under their own privacy terms.
Payments are made in JazzCash or your own banking app, outside this website. We only receive the receipt you upload and the details shown on it.
We may also disclose your information when the law requires it. If there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person, we may share necessary information with appropriate emergency services or authorities. Our Confidentiality Policy explains this.
How your information is stored
- Bookings and questions are stored as private records in the website’s WordPress database on Hostinger’s servers. Only the administrator account can open them. Visitors cannot create accounts on the website.
- Payment receipts are stored outside the public part of the website, under random file names. Only the administrator can open them.
- When you send a form, the website emails the details to hello@mindfuldirection.pk using the FluentSMTP plugin and Hostinger’s email server. If you book, you also receive an email confirming that we received your request.
- FluentSMTP keeps a log of the emails the website sends, including their content. Log entries are kept for 180 days.
- Website backups are made with UpdraftPlus and are currently stored on the same hosting account. They include the website database, so they can contain booking records and questions.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website, email or messaging service is completely secure.
Clients outside Pakistan
Mindful Direction operates from Pakistan and accepts clients in other countries. If you use our services from outside Pakistan, your information will be handled by us in Pakistan and by our service providers, including Hostinger, WhatsApp and Google, which may store or process it in other countries. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.
How long we keep your information
We keep information for the following periods:
- Booking records and payment receipts: 6 years.
- Questions sent through the website: 12 months after our last contact with you about them.
- Email logs: 180 days.
- Practitioners’ session notes: 12 months after the session, unless a legitimate legal or safety reason requires us to keep them longer.
- Website backups: only as long as they are operationally necessary, under a defined deletion schedule.
The website does not delete bookings, receipts or questions automatically, so we delete them in line with these periods. When a booking record is permanently deleted, its receipt file is deleted with it.
