Mindful Direction

Confidentiality Policy

How Mindful Direction and our practitioners handle what you share, and where confidentiality has limits.

Last updated: 31 October 2026. This policy is subject to further legal review and may be updated.

Talking about relationships, emotions or work means sharing personal things. This policy explains how Mindful Direction and our practitioners handle what you share. We treat your information with care, but confidentiality is not absolute.

Who can access your information

  • Your assigned practitioner receives the relevant booking details through WhatsApp and can see what you share with them in your sessions.
  • The business owner has administrative access for booking, operations, safety and other legitimate business needs, such as checking payments and arranging sessions.

Practitioners who are not assigned to you do not have access to your information.

What practitioners must do

  • keep client information private and use it only for the client’s sessions
  • not disclose client information to anyone who is not authorised to see it
  • store any private session notes securely, record only relevant information and restrict access to them
  • securely delete or return client information when their engagement with Mindful Direction ends, subject to applicable retention obligations
  • not record sessions without explicit consent from everyone involved

Practitioners work with Mindful Direction as independent contractors. Each practitioner signs a confidentiality agreement when they join. It covers every client they work with, so it is not signed again for each booking.

Session notes

Practitioners may keep private session notes. They record only relevant information, store notes securely and restrict access to them. Notes are not shared beyond the access described above. Notes are kept for 12 months after the session, unless a legitimate legal or safety reason requires them to be kept longer.

Recording sessions

Neither you nor your practitioner may record a session without explicit consent from everyone involved.

WhatsApp and Google Meet

Sessions take place through WhatsApp or Google Meet. Messages in a WhatsApp chat stay in the chat history on your device and your practitioner’s device until they are deleted. These services handle information under their own privacy and security terms.

Limits of confidentiality

We cannot promise absolute confidentiality. Information can be exposed through the online services we use or through devices that are lost or shared. We may also share information in these situations:

  • when the law requires us to disclose it
  • when there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person, in which case we may share necessary information with appropriate emergency services or authorities

Mindful Direction is not an emergency or crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services, such as Rescue 1122 in Pakistan, or go to the nearest hospital emergency department.

What you can do

  • join sessions from a private place where you won’t be overheard
  • protect your phone or computer with a passcode
  • delete chat messages from your device if other people use it
